Lady Sparrow Indrass

Lady Sparrow Indrass is a hero of the city of Port Dunluth. She was the half-elven leader of a band of a few hundred survivors of the long winter. Her people were forced from their feeble shelters by enemy attacks and driven out into the wild. They would not last long without shelter, so she lead them far out to the west in search of a new home.

She dreamt of a raven one night. And the following day caught site of one. All day they followed it across the lands toward the sea. They camped in the evening with small fires that did little against the cold. Against all hope, the raven reappeared in the morning and lead them to the ruins of Port Dunluth, which was destroyed in the Holy War. Bands of wild creatures had taken up residence. The raven perched on the cliffs overlooking the bay and the sun illuminated the way into the city without being detected. The dawn raid she led was so swift that the enemy was routed and ran from their fortifications before realizing the size of the attackers. By the time they reorganized and assaulted they were greeted by an organized defense. After a pitched battle, the town held and the city was reclaimed.

The symbol of the raven is now used as the banner of Port Dunluth in honor of that blessed bird. Ravens remain an important symbol to its citizens.
